A wellness-focused workshop led by RIZE Pro-Elite company member Terri Woodall, inviting youth from across the city of Chicago to experience arts as a medium to express themselves, build leadership, and gain tools for holistic health—mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Through movement, dialogue, and community-building, youth reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other pioneers who paved the way for the opportunities they are afforded today.
As part of our 15th anniversary season, this youth-centered program aligns with our mission to empower young people through the arts. In a city where media often highlights youth, especially those living in the inner city and underserved areas negatively, this event offers a counter-narrative. It amplifies the voices, brilliance, and leadership of young people who are doing phenomenal things in and beyond the arts.
